Since July 2012 Paolo Aversa is Marie Curie Research Fellow at the Faculty of Management of the Cass Business School City University London, UK. His current project, related to Formula 1, was awarded with the Marie Curie Fellowship PEOPLE-FP7-IEF. Between 2011 and 2012 Paolo Aversa has served as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Management Department of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Since September 2009 he has worked as visiting scholar at the Sol C. Snider Entrepreneurial Center, Wharton School. His general research interests are related to strategic management topics such as alliances in manufacturing networks, organizational knowledge and learning capabilities, small firms and suppliers. His empirical fields are automotive, motorcycles, Formula One and biotechnologies. He taught and tutored at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Bologna and Padova. He received his Ph.D. in management at the University of Bologna, his MBA degree at Fondazione CUOA (Vicenza) and his Executive HR Management Master at HKE (Milan). He got his B.A. and M.A. in Communication at the University of Padova, both cum laude. Before joining the academic community he worked in multinational firms like Reflex Allen (automotive), Alps South Corp. (biotech) and Ducati (motorcycles), among others. In 2011 Paolo was awarded with the 1st Prize for the Best Ph.D. Paper of the European Academy of Management with an article that is part of his Ph.D. thesis. In 2010 “Radio 24”, radio channel of the main Italian economic newspaper interviewed him for the national radio program “La Fuga Dei Talenti” about the brain drain of the most promising Italian young talents. He was the first Italian who won the world business plan competition at the Formula SAE Germany (2009). He has presented his works and industry analyses in international conferences, firms, and institutions.
